Full disclosure, Kav and I went slightly outside the rules of our Open Studio. The idea is that we are supposed to do all of our collaboration out in the open. However, after a bit of deliberation, we did a little bit behind the scenes. See, there is a panel that Kav is working on that is rather important to this turn of the plot. And, it is important that the image come across as sexy. I am rather proud of the fact that the scene is sexy without being trashy. It is a razor thin line to walk.
Which is why I don't want to get into the specifics of the revisions here in public.
It is one thing to have a panel in which a few female characters behave in an intentionally sexual way. That is perfectly acceptable. It is another thing entirely, though, to publicly dissect such an image. "This would be sexier... THAT would be sexier... Nope, too sexy. Dial it back." I feel like that would make everyone uncomfortable.
Add to that the fact that Kav likes to use reference images. This would mean the two of us posting, and comparing, intentionally sexual images. That's just not the kind of studio I want to run.
We'll be back to normal before the next post.
