New York Comic Con was great.
I talked to a lot of really cool people, a lot of really smart people, a lot of really enthusiastic people, a lot of really tired people, and a lot of people who were all of the above.
It feels like there are great things ahead for Rapid City. There continues to be an observable shift in the way my comics are received. Maybe this is all in my head, but it seems as though dues have been paid or some threshold has been crossed.
Yeah, that probably is in my head. But I like it.
The con was just great. Lots of great panels. Thanks again to Buddy Scalera. Thanks to Comicsexperience for giving me the chance to help out at their booth. Thanks to all of the very cool creators and fans I met. And Ray, I assume you were there somewhere, but I missed you.
I didn't take many pictures, but here is a sketch that David Finch did of me while he was demonstrating techniques during a portfolio review.
It was a great time in a great city. See you next year.
