Issue 35

The script for issue #35 of my super-villain revenge epic, Rapid City, has just been posted. Read it here.

Panel 4. Shannon walking out into her hall, holding the bat out in front of her. There is light coming from a door that is open a crack.

Hey! There someone in here?

Panel 5. Largest panel on the page. Shanon has opened the bathroom door and discovered Coil in there. He has no shirt, just some sparse wires wrapped here and there. He is bruised and bloody.. but not badly injured. He is hunched over and vomiting in the toilet.

Coil! What are you doing here?

Panel 6. Small shot of Coil's face. He is looking back at Shannon. His humanity is gone. There is vomit on his lips and bloody scrapes on his face. His expression is that of a sick, injured, dog.

Issue 32

The script for the 32nd issue of my superhero villain comic book, Rapid City, has just been posted.

Panel 3 Icicle turning away, she looks disgusted and disappointed. Templar is still steady and serious.

ICICLE You can't say things like that. You don't say "you can trust me".

They'll all know it's a lie, because everything anyone says here is a lie.

ICICLE Or worse, for you, they'll think you're telling the truth.

That's a weakness to them, and all they know how to do is attack.

TEMPLAR I've got no loyalty to Coil. That's all I meant.

You can tell me about him and it'll stay between you and me.

Panel 4 Wide panel with Templar at the left and Icicle at the right. This is a pause. She is sizing him up. Her balloon is at the far right.

ICICLE You don't need to do this. This isn't who you are.

Panel 5 Templar looking grim and holding up his hand to showoff his magic ring.

TEMPLAR I thought that, too. I thought that for years, and I was wrong.

Issue #31

The script for the 31st issue of Rapid City has just been posted. In this issue, the heroes and villains of Rapid City are searching for Templar, the recently returned superhero. Icicle finds him and learns about her own quest for revenge.

Panel 1. Coil and Hector sitting around in Coil's "office". They are both relaxed.

Coil, you've seen The Wild Bunch?

Of course.

The scene with the ants and the scorpion is real. I've seen it happen, and the ants always win.

They've got numbers.

Panel 2. Hector leaning forward to speak more seriously.

Numbers and organization. They have a unified strategy that uses their smaller size to an advantage. They win.

Panel 3. Closer on Hector and more serious.

But you switch that scorpion for a boot heel, and that advantage disappears.

Panel 4. The two of them talking. Coil leaning forward now, curious about Hector's serious posture.

What are we talking about here, Hector?

The Syndicate in Rapid City. Our advantage until now has been our organization and our strategy.

But this guy we fought today, he seemed like he could be a boot heel.
